My high school had a rifle range in the ROTC building. I was an "expert marksman" and briefly one of the shooters on the rifle team. We only used pellet rifles, but they still had the old .22's locked up in the armory with about 100 decom'd 1903 Springfields that our drill team and color guards used. Memories...
