Creepy News

For Halloween

Via San Diego UT:
A truckload of fishermen found human arms, legs and a head along a highway and an elderly woman later found the torso while walking her dog in a park, officials said.

The fishermen told investigators that they passed what they thought were Halloween props piled on the asphalt early Sunday. The elderly woman found the torso near a women's restroom in the park about 65 miles east of Los Angeles.

This is going to be an interesting halloween, with the creeps and freaks out in force early. I attended numerous parties and gatherings this weekend, and saw nothing really disturbing, but I think a pile of actual dismembered body parts would fall into that category that makes you wonder about people sometimes.

I will tonight be playing the role of sniper's spotter. No rifle, just a NV scope, to make sure no one is dismembering people on my block this year. Plus, it's part of my costume - marpat cammies under a ghillie suit in my yard. Scares the bejesus out of trick-or-treaters hellbent on the "trick" part when they walk to a completely dark house, past that innocuous looking bush that screams at them...

If you don't already have Halloween plans, you may want to consider picking up a copy of George Romero's Land of the Dead. If you're a zombie movie lover like I am, it is the most recent while not the best. It is interesting to see zombies adapting (no spoilers), I think it highly improbable. The movie is relatively funny, gory and has some freaky parts. Not really scary...unless you truly fear a zombie uprising tonight.
