I just don't understand. I know it's following the psuedo-tabloid writing style. I get that. The headlines are intentionally sensational. OK.

I don't understand the rapidly and radically shifting appearance of party affiliation, though. Who are they spoofing, the left or the right? I can't tell, since it seems to change week-to-week, but it's pretty damn funny.
