Kuwait Gives Women Political Voice

The gulf nation has cleared the way for women to participate in future political endeavors. Unfortunately, these rights come with a stipulation.
However, fundamentalist Muslims included a requirement that any female politician or voter abide by Islamic law. It was not clear what limits that would put on women's rights.


What, exactly, would that entail? Women are addressed as dogs and forced to wear burkas on their way to the polls? They have to wear a burka in their identification card photograph? Oh, wait...
